Aims of the course:

The topic of digital transformation is a hot topic these days. There’s no shortage of content on the subject, particularly from technology companies, touting their tools as the transformational silver bullet.

Technology of course is a pretty essential element. But it plays a supporting role. IT is the enabler, the means to enhance people giving them the superpowers they need to create more value. Value is only created when people and technology work harmoniously together. Unfortunately, that doesn’t just happen. Leaders have to work at it. There’s a lot to think about, but it seems that there isn`t much practical guidance.

So, in this course, we tried to steer away from much of the standard digital transformation course. The focus of the course lays on the digital trends, their impact on the society and our live and some pratical methods how to find the right strategies for your organization.

Learning Outcomes and Competence:

Digital Transformation (DT) is not necessarily about digital technology, but about the fact that technology, which is digital, allows people to solve their traditional problems. And they prefer this digital solution to the old solution.

The transformation stage means that digital usages inherently enable new types of innovation and creativity in a particular domain, rather than simply enhance and support traditional methods
